People struggling with fears, depression, and relational problems, especially people who have somehow "lost" themselves, tend to experience me as deeply compassionate yet able to target the primary cause(s) of their pain and identify what they may be doing to contribute to the ongoing problems in their lives. A sometimes surprising part of my therapeutic manner is that I am interactive while maintaining great respect for a person's capacity to direct their own life and utilize their current pain toward growth of their real self, thus entering into a more abundant life.
My specialty is the self and the development of its healthy functioning in relation to oneself, others and the world. I work to gain a deep understanding of how your early relational patterns (arising from developmental experiences and family environment) are expressed in your life now, through various symptoms such as anxiety, depression, panic, compulsive behaviors and relational distress.

Talk therapy that incorporates working with your bodily awareness facilitates the release of traumatic stress and trauma that may, unknowingly, be preventing your experience of being fully present in yourself and in the world. Regardless of the problems that create difficulty in living your life, experienced for example, as symptoms such as anxiety and depression, I believe underlying the symptom picture is knowledge held in your history as well as in your body that potentially will provide keys to understanding what has previously been unknowable, mystifying and therefore unchangeable. In such knowledge lies the power and pathway for a richer, more enlivened life.
I have taken my motto from Socrates:
"The unexamined life is the life that is not worth living."
