Background:

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and certified yoga instructor located in New York City. Specifically, I work in adult and adolescent psychotherapy, mentorship, and overall mind and body wellness. Through my practice I have helped adults and adolescents with a wide range of therapeutic needs achieve a higher level of fulfillment in their daily lives.

I graduated from Pace University with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2012 and received my Bachelor's Degree from the University of San Francisco in 2003. Since then I have worked extensively with adults and adolescents within individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, and intensive individualized clinical mentorship.

In addition to my private practice, I continue to work within the New York City Foster Care system as a therapist, substance abuse counselor, wellness coach, and yoga instructor for young men aging out of foster care.

Teen/Young Adult Clinical Mentorship:

After several years of working with teens and young adults I discovered that the standard therapeutic model (50min/week) is often not sufficient in meeting the unique and complex needs of this age group. As a result, I developed a mentorship program that provides young clients with a higher level of access to clinical support. This high level of support allows young clients to process stress productively and minimizes potentially harmful behaviors. Individualized plans often consist of several brief in person check ins (in office and community) per week and phone/text/video support. Contact me to learn more.

Methodology

A strong therapeutic relationship is key to the success of therapy. I work hard to create an environment where my clients feel confident to speak openly and express themselves freely. Through my holistic, genuine, empathetic, and often direct approach, my clients can attain true congruence in their lives. Sessions include talk therapy and may include yoga therapy, mindfulness practices, grounding techniques, breath work, aromatherapy, and/or guided mediation.

Sessions are 50 mins once per week. Flexibility on session lengths and frequency provided on a case by case basis. Video sessions are offered for individuals outside of New York City and/or individuals whom prefer the convenience and flexibility provided by online therapeutic services.
