About Me:

Hi, I'm Missy. I help 40-60 years old women overcome the roadblocks that keep them from adding fitness to their daily lives so that they can make big changes in their health and body.

I studied Psychology at the University of Hawaii, Hilo. I am a Certified Personal Trainer with ACE and I am currently in the final stages of Certified Wellness Expert Coach with Expert Coach Center, an approved program with International Consortium of Health & Wellness Coaching. They partner with National Board of Medical Examiners “to provide a minimum standard and measure of foundational competencies: the knowledge, tasks and skills essential to the practice of health and wellness coaching.”

I know what its like to work 50 hour weeks, have a 3-hour commute, cook for the family every night and fit a marathon training in. I can help you identify what your health goals are and execute them with simple steps. I love seeing the my clients' mindset transform from “I can’t do that,” to “How far can I push myself?”

What I Offer:

As a Health and Fitness Coach, I work with women who are getting back into or starting their health & fitness journey. I help clear out the clutter and information overload so they can zero in on what heath & fitness goals are most important to them.

I give women the tools to turn overwhelming tasks into tiny manageable steps leading to a lifetime of empowerment and change. Basically, I want them to look & feel totally badass about themselves on their terms.

I work collaboratively with my clients to discover solutions and build strategies for their health goals. Most importantly, I hold the client responsible and accountable on their actions towards their goals.

My Approach

What to Expect:

You might be wondering what to expect from your coaching sessions. To begin, we will discuss the contract and sign off on each point. It is at this time we will review the coaching process. Most importantly, this is the time to set expectations for both you and me.

The first session will also include the assessment form. This form allows you to share background information, medical conditions, and more. This is an opportunity for you to speak freely as to what your concerns are and what your motives may be. At this point in the session, you will set goals for the next 3 months. You will commit to the goals and we will agree on a few actionable steps each week.

The subsequent sessions will ideally be weekly or bimonthly for approximately 45 minutes. In these sessions, you and I will review the success and challenges of the week. Then, we'll determine if the actionable steps are still manageable, work together on strategies to clear up challenges, and confirm goals for the following week.

The one on one coaching is flexible. If you and the coach are geologically close, meeting face to face may be an option. The most common way of communication will be by video conference (Skype, FaceTime, etc.). If that option is not available then via telephone is just as good.

Ultimately my process with help the you become more self aware, be more accountable, acquire new skills and knowledge, sustain change, and BE THE BEST VERSION OF YOURSELF.
