I have more than 16 years of combined educational and clinical experience working with:

  • Individuals and families through my private practice as a licensed social worker
  • Armour Child and Family Services as a clinical therapist
  • Teach for America Corp Member
  • Educator in the Chicago Public Schools
  • The Daniel Murphy Scholarship Foundation as the associate director of education
  • Life Builders as an individual and a group therapist

In each position, I’ve served a diverse population of children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Each group has provided me unique insight and extensive expertise, and they’ve helped me become the effective therapist I am today.

I specialize in Anxiety, Depression, and Coping Skills. While I serve a range of clients, my true passion lies in providing supportive services to families of loved ones with special needs. My extensive work in education has shown me how invaluable counseling is for these families as they face new challenges and roles and ever-changing dynamics.

My Approach:

In my sessions, I practice standard psychotherapy with a focus on psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy approaches. These approaches are collaborative and dialogue-based — meaning that we’ll work together throughout the therapy process to help you develop healthier, effective habits and coping mechanisms.
I encourage a supportive and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment — one that lets you feel free to talk honestly about thought and behavior patterns that are currently preventing you from living life to its fullest.
